Chris G August 8, , 4: The display driver is the first one giving me trouble.. Here the environment is simply too strong. After updating to win10 I did a reset. But this might be your savior as well, if you previously encountered problems regarding the USB flash drive not popping up in the bios or booting section. Clean install is different it seems.

But this might be your savior as well, if you previously encountered problems regarding the USB flash drive not popping up in the bios or booting section. Jay February 12, , 9: Raymond Chin August 8, , Hi Chris, I urgently need help.

After updating to win10 I did a reset. What can I do? Chris G August 8, , 4: No good sounds like the eMMC corrupted. You might have to try from an external USB drive.

Go to the Windows 10 32gb download app. And make an install disk to install on another be option. Boot to this and then try and reinstall or repair Windows 10 if possible.

Here is where to download the Windows 10 tool: Raymond Chin August 9, , 6: I tried to reinstall windows. I deleted the windows partition so that it becomes unallocated.

What has gone wrong? Will I be able to hard reset it to its original state straight from the factory? Surely the recovery partitions are meant to do that? Raymond Chin August 9, , 2: And would I need a CD key to reinstall windows?

Raymond Chin August 6, , 4: Everything works perfectly fine except when I wanted to unlock my sim card to connect to 3G. No problems with Android either. Has anyone been experiencing the same issue?

Any ideas how to resolve this? Chris G August 6, , 9: No mine connected fine when I used my Vodafone sim in it, but I had hotspot sharing disable button in grey and to contact my network provider.

Adrien Wiwi August 8, , 3: My 3g was working in 8. An there i no specific drivers for the 3G, it is a microsoft drivers. When the tablet first start i was able to press next during the first configuration, but the tablet has reboot immediatly after that.

So there is a bug with some configuration, i will try another SIM when i found one. Juan August 13, , 6: Adrien Wiwi August 14, , No, I try everything possible, for me, it is a drivers issue in Windows 10, and it is a microsoft drivers, so I wait for a fix….

Juan August 14, , 7: Treymon August 27, , I found a solution for this problem; have a look at the forum. Adrien Wiwi August 28, , Thank you, it works for me, the First time, the tablet reboot, like during the windows first boot, but after it works.

It seems to be a microsoft Bug, maybe a type of keyboard, because it works when you have only the keyboard with number. Andrei August 4, , 6: So please share this with the others: Mine is a two piece that gets really hot when it charges.

Chris G August 4, , 8: Hi, I have to pay customs to here in Spain. The charger does get very hot when charging and the tablet too. I mentioned that in my video that the upgrade is in Chinese to just hit next and next and once done it will revert to your language setting in 8.

Daniele August 4, , Peter August 4, , 7: Peter August 5, , 6: But first you must do the upgrade. Then you can take the new key for a clean install by usb Stick.

To become the new key you can use the programm ProduKey 1. Peter August 4, , I upgrated my x98 air 3G c6j6 first. But menu and so on dont work. So reinstall by usb stick. Now works everything well.

Only my front and rear camera is inverted. Is there a fix for that? Michael Burbea August 4, , However, when I click the windows mobility center it does show me the battery life percentage remaining.

Is there a way to get the icon to show me a percentage? Alexander Voinov August 4, , 1: For me the battery icon works only when charging. I use the batterybar regardless of that glitch thanks Chris for pointing to it.

Michael Burbea August 4, , 2: Alexander Voinov August 4, , 4: Alexander Voinov August 3, , 5: Upon upgrade I only applied 2 drivers from the pack you mention: What driver out of that pack can fix that?

Javier Perez Corrales August 2, , 3: Hello, I have a problem with Windows I downloaded the Microsoft media application creation tool, but it does not work out an empty square and an OK button.

Yesterday when I did on the tablet works well. Is there otherwise download Windows 10 or recovery the installation? Javier Perez Corrales August 2, , 4: I managed to start downloading Windows 10 to make a clean install.

I have to do something special to boot from the USB? Someone has made the clean install? Chris G August 2, , 6: Clean install is different it seems. You will need the drivers in the post once you get into the system.

Restore them and the reg file too. Javier Perez Corrales August 2, , Thank you Chris, I try a clean install tonight, although I have a little fear of spoiling the partition android.

The question was because I created the stick of Windows 10, but I can not boot from it. In another forum I read something about a file that had bootia You know about this?

Javier Perez Corrales August 3, , Everything working, now it is much more fluid. Thanks for the info and the drivers. Same intention, same issue. Alfredo Putaso July 31, , 2: I want to uninstall android and remove all the partitions and leave the tablet with windows 8, then I will upgrade to windows Chris G July 31, , Alfredo Putaso August 1, , 9: I created a Windows 10 Usb and installed it right on the tablet deleting all the partitions.

I could extract the windows license from the bios. I downloaded the windows 10 drivers from your website and I could install the g-sensor drivers, but in the graphic driver folder there are too many.

Alfredo Putaso August 10, , 8: I finally found a way to install the drivers and I activated windows 10 with a generic serial. The display driver is the first one giving me trouble..

I have the whole driver package from techtablets but how do I install the display driver? I assume it is one of the many. I cant get the touchscreen to work either…. Tim johnson August 18, , 8: Hey Chris thanks for doing this!

Other hardware includes a 3G modem with which you can even call on Android, a GPS receiver and two cameras, one on the front and one on the back. With the given hardware the tablet achieves a good working speed, whereby under Android by means of a Custom ROMs still much more than from the stock ROM can get out.

From time to time, however, you notice little performance slumps under Windows, which is probably due to the GPU, which is not always ready with the high resolution.

More about that later. With games, the tablet is only partially finished. PC games are mostly unplayable, but that should not be a surprise. Mobile games are running quite well. The installation of bloatware is completely omitted.

The default language is English, so you can start using it immediately and without any hurdles. In the settings you can install on request a language pack of his choice. Windows 10 itself is a lot of fun on tablets.

I found Windows 8. With Windows 10, this has changed significantly. Here you can easily and consistently clear with the touch screen, and so it is a near-perfect tablet OS, if you get involved fully.

The best part of the whole system is that the scaling now works properly. On high-resolution displays Windows 8. Here the upscaling now works as it should, which allows a comfortable operation. Again, the system can still serve perfectly, but you have much more space available.

A nice detail here is that the keyboard always remains the same regardless of the scaling. Here you do not set yourself a trip-trap on yourself. There is one thing I dislike, and that is partly the performance.

In the tablet mode, the animations are sometimes quite jerky, which is probably due to the GPU with the high resolution is not always clear. The start menu and the switch between apps suffers from a significant bucking, but otherwise everything is displayed fluid.

Strangely, the jerkiness disappears when switching to the desktop mode. Here it is up to Microsoft to optimize a little better. Slight improvement has brought the update of the video driver via the tool from Intel.

Yes, because as usual, the performance of the Android ROM is really bad. The whole UI and apps perform tough as chewing gum. The first thing anyone should do here is to install a custom ROM, which fortunately is a breeze.

I recommend the Android 5. This comes with root, supports Xposed and even offers the possibility to change the resolution of the display as well as the DPI value and thus the scaling. In addition, the ROM runs butter soft and makes the tablet all the more fun.

Also, the Audio Enhancer Viper4Android is pre-installed here and provides a preset preset for the tablet, which makes the internal speakers sound even better. A fix for YouTube has also been implemented so you can watch Ultra HD streams directly in the app, which the tablet can easily do.

The MXPlayer is also on board, including codec pack for really all formats. The battery life is also greatly improved by the ROM. These sound quite good and are also loud.

On Android you can even tickle out even more by using Viper4Android. Unfortunately, I did not get the Windows version of Viper running. Nevertheless, not everything is perfect. The placement of the speakers I feel rather suboptimal, because only if you keep the tablet upright, you also have something of the stereo sound.

I would have preferred the placement laterally in the frame at the top and bottom, because in landscape mode, which one inevitably uses for films, one would then have perfect stereo sound.

Trouble for Teclast, however, when it comes to the headphone jack. This does not work properly because it does not support headphones that have an integrated remote control.

If you use them anyway, then the sound sounds extremely distorted. This is an absolute no-go for me, because today you get almost no good headphones that can do without a remote control.

Here the user must therefore switch to Bluetooth headphones. The antenna was therefore apparently sufficient dimensioned and well placed. Also, the 3G reception works surprisingly well and I could even build a data connection even if my smartphone with the same mobile service provider has already failed the service.

Although I do not want to call the reception above average, it is certainly very useful for everyday life. And then there was a real surprise. I have never seen a dual-boot tablet that has GPS on board and did not even know that the X98 Air 3G has just that to offer.

I was even more surprised when testing the GPS receiver. The built-in antenna allows the reception of up to 19 satellites with very good signal strength and thus achieves an accuracy of around 6 meters.

This is absolutely sufficient for navigating or positioning on a map and works well too. Just for the fix you have to be patient, because it takes a minute. The cameras of the tablet solve with 5 megapixels on the back and 2 megapixels on the front.

As so often, however, the cameras are useless. Both sensors create washed-out, noisy and pretty colorless images. For the emergency snapshot or video calling OK, for all else not to use.

The Teclast X98 Air 3G sounds very promising with its 8. But you should not expect miracles, because the installed hardware needs a lot of power, especially the big 2k display and the processor.

The maximum that I could tease out of the battery so far was 8 hours. These are not bad values, but the battery high flyer is definitely not the tablet. I really liked the loading time of the tablet.

Here should definitely a quick charge function to be implemented, because until the battery is full pass on a 2A charger like 4 hours. Just time to charge is not here, and so is an empty battery all the more annoying.

The tablet offers you a good workmanship, a nice display and good performance, although you still have to lend a hand and Microsoft has to file on Windows 10 in places. For the money, the tablet is definitely a good deal.

There is no 3G and no dual-boot here.

Everything ok but huge lags may be due to drivers which I have not yet installed. But my main problem is entire system language is in Chinese and I am not able to change any settings and neither I am able to change ssystem language.

ALthough the English is shown in the settings the system stays in Chinese whatever I do. Adrien Wiwi August 11, , 2: At the first start, the tablet lag, but once connected, it update and after next reboot, the lag gone.

The price is around US dollars.
