No bluetooth disconnect issues, at all. I haven’t tested it with fb ot twitter, but text messaging, gmail, rss, and android sys notifications are working perfectly. All these is working, but what was was planning to use it for is getting forex alerts to it.

Overal, it is great device that has limited bluetooth range ft max, but it does everithing as described and hopefully will do mode. I think price is right and next model will have mode GUI design improvements.

I rated it 4 stars because power supply is European, but my WhitePaper’s power supply has exactly same interface, not a big issue. I recommend it to everyone who want to receive alerts like, Stock market, Forex, calendar, email, txt.

Overall I am happy that I bough this thing, because I was able to learn for a cheap price that a smart watch is not as useful in person at least with the tech that’s out now. The watch worked and connected with my phone once you download the app without any problems.

The watch is a little bulky and the band that it comes with is fairly cheap as expected. The reason I isn’t as useful though is that any convenience that you would get out of the watch is lost because you have to charge it.

It also is more work to go through messages on the watch that it is to just pull out my phone from my pocket. The only thing this watch saves me time on is allowing me to check the time without pulling out my phone.

This can be accomplished with a cheap regular watch though. I was really excited to get this, but was definitely disappointed with it. I gave it a couple weeks for it to grow on me, but now it just sits on my desk collecting dust.

Obviously it wouldn’t be as nice as a pricier one, but you may be able to learn like I did if you would actually use it. I might consider getting a smart watch once they don’t require frequent charging, but this was definitely a good learning experience.

By Hossein Nik on May 31, Here is what I bought this for: I got excited at home and after playing around with it I found the plug-ins needed to do what I want it to. I even installed the LiveView Charm that is supposed to help with the Bluetooth connection.

The watch constantly connects and disconnects Gray on August 29, These are leftover stock so they have been sitting on shelves for a couple of years. You charge it up overnight and then it will last 20 minutes before it dies.

This is because it uses a LiPo battery that if let discharge they destroy themselves. Almost everything out there is a old stock that has a dead battery in it and will not take a charge or last very long.

I bought one locally and it did the dead battery dance, returned it and the replacement did the same. Hoping that amazon had better stock, I ordered one and it did the same thing.

All of them out there have batteries that are at the end of life. By Apoc on July 15, After being in the market for a smart watch, I stumbled upon this product, and was quite put off by the reviews.

A lot of people seemed to have problems with it, but not all the reviews were negative, claiming fixes to the problems. I figured I would toss some money at this and confirm or deny the allegations for anyone else on the fence about this watch.

When I first received it in the mail, I did struggle a bit with getting the pins in the band and on the watch some assembly required but that is likely just because I’ve always been bad at that.

We can forgive that. The band is not stylish at all, but it is comfortable enough. I used it for a day without updating the firmware, and had one disconnect the whole time.

I did experience issues with my bluetooth headset while the watch was paired, but after updating the firmware, this has not happened since. Notifications for texts and emails come through instantly, and the caller id on the watch face has proven invaluable.

It’s nice to be able to read texts without whipping out my Galaxy Note II giant phone in front of a client. Vibration is very weak, so I wouldn’t count on just that to notify you.

The screen only lights up automatically when calls are coming in. Everything else is a vibrate, and a notification light blink. Still, it’s very useful. This may have something to do with both the firmware update, and the fact I allowed a full charge before first use.

Not bad, not bad at all. It does disconnect occasionally, but not often. I find it usually has something to do with bluetooth interference from other devices, but is rare none the less. The build quality is not very good, but what do you expect for this price?

Just for kicks I figured I’d order it because of the price only being 30 bucks. Lots of bad reception like, bad wristband, disconnects all the time, buttons won’t work. Truth is this thing only connects up to 35 feet in length not a long ways.

And as far as wristbands the band is not all that bad. If you are unhappy with it there are other bands you can buy for under 10 bucks. My buttons work fine. Anyway I found this watch to do everything that is promised except one thing.

And that is connect to Facebook and Twitter. And the only pain that I found was that to charge it you must remove the pins which hold the watch in place. Other than that this watch does exactly what it is made for.

So I gave it 4 stars only because of the pins. The battery life is not as bad as put out either. It will last a whole day even more if used casually. If used for apps and so on it tends to tear through battery life pretty substantially.

This product is actually very well made for a 30 dollar piece of hardware, if you are someone who wants an easy way to be informed of your calls, texts, events this is perfect for you.

Now if your a techy and wanting to play don’t complain and pay a dollars for a more upscale smartwatch. By Amazon Customer on September 10, Even if I had paired it successfully. Once connected, it did seem to push all alerts but the vibration was so light that I couldn’t feel it.

I returned this device for these two reasons and got the Sony SmartWatch which I’m testing out now Had the watch for a while now, and it is actually alright.

Facebook and Twitter work okay for it. I use it for texts and calls though, since they matter most and because they are the only reason I would have to take my phone out before. Works great with my phone with calls and texts!

I’m happy it worked out so well. Really keeps me from struggling to get my phone out just to see who is bugging me. Only issues I have had, but only minor and very rare, are the icon for a message lingering on my phone until I delete the message, and sometimes it losing it’s connection with the phone.

I found the connection one was my fault though from letting them get too far away from each other. The message one has only happened two times for me so far. Overall, it is a good smart watch for someone looking to save money.

It is bulky, and you have to take it off the watch strap to charge, but luckily the charge on it is amazing. Lasts me a good 4 days with normal use. Would recommend if the price is right!

By Brett C on May 10, I know from reading other reviews that people have had problems, but for me that is not the case. This works perfect for what I want to do.

There are useful plugins in the Play Market store. Worth it if you want to control your phone wireless, which is very useful in the car. Can be used with bluetooth headphones at the same time.

Depending on how it goes I may upgrade to the Smartwatch down the road but for now I’m happy. After the Sony Update, the watch works great. Plenty of Plug In’s for it. Works great for notifications while riding a bike Make sure you do the upgrade from Sony web site.

Also watch the Youtube video on how to remove the watch from the watch band. Its fits really snug. On a side note, sometimes it doesn’t notify me of a text message. By Mitchell L on June 14, The Liveview turned out to be a lot more handy then I thought it would.

Out of the box there were some connection problems but after I updated the software highly recommended the problems were pretty much solved. The Liveview comes in handy at those time when pulling your phone out is not possible, such as driving, meetings and classes.

There are also plugins that allow you to reply to messages from the watch as well as one that will let you change the watch faces. The Liveview is a little chunky on the wrist.

For me it was not a big deal and overtime I got used to it. Definitely look into doing the software update if you do buy, it only takes a second and will save you lots of headache. Most of the people leaving bad reviews have not done the software update which Sony released to solve most of the complaints.

By GQ on June 28, Got this as I started biking and wanted to leave my phone in my backpack and check my LiveView for updates. Doesn’t work on my HTC Thunderbolt but didn’t have real expectations as it’s not on the supported devices list.

I’m giving this review based on my experience with the Bluetooth setup, trying to get it paired and connected which can get you doubting yourself if you’ve ever setup BT before.

The swipe action on the touchpad needs a hard swipe to make something happen. SE, what about user manuals? As a techie, was forced back to look for these but barely enough information. Hopefully a few updates will get this working for me.

By Amazon Customer on February 3, Although the shipping took time but this product is really handy and quite useful. It works with my Xperia very well.

Pairing the device require Liveview application to be loaded on your phone. It has proved to be very useful for me specially when I am driving. I don’t have to search for my phone anymore when call comes just I can peep in this watch and can decide whether to accept or not adds a lot to safe driving.

Also you can mount on your bike or hand-bag strap and can enjoy the facility. But you have to keep your phone within 30 feet distance. I am sure you won’t regret this piece. Get fast answers from reviewers.

Also remember that you CAN switch out bands for something nicer, so long as it’s a 20mm band. Just give it a chance, and do the firmware upgrade, and it works great.

One caveat that bugs me the most: You must remove the watch from the band to charge it the band blocks the usb port, and this is easier said than done. I nearly ripped out a fingernail trying to get it out.

Use a thin flathead screwdriver, or a spudger tool to remove it, and it comes out easily with little concern of damaging it. I hope this helps someone! By Eli on June 21, This is the only way i found to make facebook work on the watch plus you can also get instagram notifications on the watch this way.

To fix the bluetooth connection issues and bluetooth connection permission to getfk rid of the ‘pairing request’ instead of the darn watch just connecting Keeps the liveview app open on the phone so the watch stays connected and if it disconnects it can reconnect without you have to touch your phone since it takes care of the bluetooth permission pairing request deal.

I gave 4 stars simply because i had to go through all of this in addition to finding all these fixes on google to make the watch work as intended. Now it does and i love it. The charger that comes with it is kind of crappy so i use my droid charger works fine.

However you will probably continue to get the pairing request unless you root. By Michael Worth on July 29, This thing is junk. Very short range to phone, disconnects often. Reconnecting to phone is far more difficult than it should be.

In fact, it should be automatic after the original pairing, but it’s not. You’ll need to accept two separate pairing requests every time the watch needs to be reconnected. The money you’ll save isn’t worth it.

Buy the real deal Sony Smartwatch if that’s what you are looking for. Because this junk will sour you on the concept entirely. By BiohazardVideo on September 5, It hooked right up to my LG Spirit and though I had to go back and forth on a few of the apps to find a combo that didn’t restart my phone, apparently the photo app doesn’t play well.

Updated the watch with the Sony update program and runs like a champ, other then the photo and Facebook, but I’ll play with it a bit more. I’ll make good use of it to control my Pandora when I go on my mile ride to see Area 51 on the 20th.

By Kkoch4 on July 7, The software is horrible and hard to navigate. There is an OpenSource version that I like better, but haven’t been able to get it to connect reliably. The plugin feature is nice, but broken.

The device is well built and sturdy, but you can tell it’s an early product for it’s time. This device was fun to play with in the beginning, fairly easy to setup, but difficult to use everyday. Sometimes the swipes don’t register, and sometimes they register the opposite of what I intended.

There’s no easy manual or tutorial either, so if you don’t enjoy playing with a new toy for a while to learn it, stay away. I’ve heard great things about the new SmartWatch 2, and might have to make it number 1 on my Christmas list.

By Arfyness on July 21, The only way this worked was when I kept rebooting my phone, and rebooting this device. Rebooting both devices was the only way I found to reconnect. Unfortunately, when it was time to recharge the device, the watch band blocks the USB port.

So I removed the piece of tape, and attempted to remove the device. Now the darn thing refuses to pop out! I tried to use a flat head precision screwdrive to pop it out, and instead created tiny scratch marks on both the liveview device and the plastic housing that secures the liveview to the wrist band.

I ended up just removeing the metal rod that secure the band to the housing so that I could plug in my charger. I got a European style charger with my device. The merchant who sold it to me was nice enough scotch tape a US adapter to the box for no additional charge.

The device can also be charged using a standard USB cable plugged into a computer, or a battery. I just used my Logitech G usb headphone charging cable to charge mines.

I can’t seem to fine much use plug-ins on google play. Maybe I should check Amazon! The Gmail plug-in works rather nicely with this watch though. Compared to my other two watches, this is significantly larger that my Omega watch, and just alittle bigger than my Breitling watch.

It is lighter that both of my watches, which makes it very comfortable to wear. I have not encouter and heating issues when I wear it. It gets 4 stars from me. It lost one because the wrist strap blocks the charging port, which is a big deal to me.

I’ll try to post additional review for this product if I have the time, and if I remember to. One person found this helpful. By Henry Wolanski on March 15, I knew that the charge port might be an issue going into the purchase, thought I could modifiy the case or band to allow a plug-in connection without removing the strap, NOPE Still looking for a really skinny micro usb cord that might just slide in, right now it’s very close and I can old get it partially plugged withour removing the band.

Plastic and metal construction mostly plastic. I did install some of the suggested tools that were recommended, all items seemed to launch fine, I’m using the GMAIL app to read messages on my Liveview as they come in and are displayed.

What I don’t like is if the mail app is not the primary open app it’s messages not updated, you have to select the app to go in and check mail and get updates. So it’s still a check and see operation, but can be just one button tap away the touch zones take some getting used to but you learn, not too big an issue if the phone is set to chime or vibrate then you have a reason to tap and look at the display, hey that works If you like to experiment, YES try it.

It’s a niche product and an aquired taste. Top rated Most recent Top rated. There was a problem loading comments right now. I received my Sony watch about a week ago and before buying I was a bit skeptical, reason being all the bad reviews which were posted upon this site.
